February 2007:
February, our first month in Turin

Our first visitor in Turin (Nick had booked his flights to visit before we'd booked our own to move!)
The Castle of Rivoli, transformed into a modern art gallery
Aperitivo!
Swings in the Valentino Park
Cafe Torino... the best pastries around!
The view from the balcony of Palazzo Madama, onto the main Piazza of Turin.
Fireworks to mark the end of the Student Winter Olympics, which took place in and around Turin.
A trip into the Susa Valley, above Turin.
Valentines day and a Grand Ballo on the hill overlooking the city. Traditional Occitane music, dancing and mulled wine!
The 16th February and the Waldensian Church remembers the granting of religious freedom in Italy by lighting bonfires across the countryside of their home valley.
We'd been told that Turin was famous for its fog in winter... the view from our window sometimes had mountains in it, but not always!
