| A flight back to Bangkok, a 3 hour drive along the coast, a speed boat in a thunderstorm and the next morning we were on a golden beach in a luxury hotel on Koh Samet, a small island of the coast of Thailand.

| A nearby restaurant, on stilts just off the shore, which was reached by ringing a bell to call over a boat on a rope which came to collect you and pull you out to the restaurant...

| ... which had holes under the tables to dangle your feet out of, and feed the tropical fish swimming underneath.

| It didn't escape our attention that life in these parts is not paradise for everyone... this guy was scavenging in oily mud at the port.

| Back in Bangkok and the first fitting of the clothes we had ordered from the tailors. They will be ready by the end of the holiday.
