2nd-6th April 2009:
Cambridge

A long weekend back in Cambridge...
...exactly 4 years after we were married there.
The sun shone...
...and we spent the afternoon of our anniversary in a punt...
... drinking champagne and eating strawberries.
Very romantic!
A celebration dinner, at a favourite restaurant. Lots of yummy food, and no pasta in sight!
Spring was springing all around and Cambridge looked in fine form.
Taking friend Kate's daughter for a walk in Clare college.
The evening, and motivation for the trip, was a black tie dinner at Girton College to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Rachel's matriculation there.
Catching up with the chaplain, Malcolm Guite.
A visit back to Pembroke, and Al's old rooms.
Girtonians re-uniting the day after the formal dinner, for some typical Cambridge chilling out.
We walked to Grantchester and indulged in afternoon tea...
...and some of us fell asleep. (I'd blame the jet-lag if I could, but I was really just being lazy!)
Our final day, and catching up on that Great British food - a fabulous cooked breakfast at The Copper Kettle.
