4th July 2009:
Ian's 60th Birthday Celebrations in Stratford-upon-Avon

Al's dad celebrated his 60th birthday with a family party in Stratford-Upon-Avon. We flew into Stansted and had a stop off at Stowe Gardens on the way across to Stratford. It was looking resplendently English!
Just right for a quick nap.
In Stratford we met up with the whole family.
Enjoying an excellent evening meal.
Stratford was looking great in the sunshine.
As if there weren't enough Morrises in town already, there were Morris dancers on hand as well.
A picnic lunch.
And a spectacular Carolyn-cake to celebrate with.
They're not real - they're sugar!
R-achel
Afternoon tea at the hotel. Very civilised.
An original Whittaker lino print - a highly prized gift!
The river festival provided added colour and life to the town.
A big family meal to round off the weekend, with much food, wine and banter.
We took a boat out on the river and attempted not to crash into anything.
We'd travelled all the way across Europe only to find a gondola navigating the Avon.
