| John and Anna visited us in October and we took the opportunity to do the Sentiero del Barolo... | |
| ...a 13km walk (the red line) which leads through all the main cru vineyards of the Barolo wine (coloured splodges) around the town of La Morra. | |
| We were blessed with good weather and great views across and through the vineyards. | |
| The harvest was already under way but many vines were still heavy laden with the precious nebbiolo grapes. | |
| A welcome picnic lunch... and time to mess around on a roundabout! |
| An ancient chapel, now painted by Sol Lewitt and David Tremlett, who supposedly received a constant supply of Barolo in return! Anyone want me to paint anything for them...? | |
| And to finish the day a well-earned, many-coursed dinner with, of course, some Barolo to drink. | |
| The following day, enjoying the sunshine... | |
| ...and a coffee at Fiat's ex-factory at Lingotto. |
